Former Congressman Jim Ramstad joins Hazelden as senior policy adviser on addiction issues
Jim Ramstad, who served in Congress from 1991 until last year, will assist Hazelden as senior policy adviser on federal legislative and policy issues related to addiction, treatment, and recovery. He will focus on health care reform and implementation of a new law expanding access to addiction and mental health treatment through private health care insurance.

Kypros Kypri earns Hazelden's Dan Anderson Research Award
Kypros Kypri, Ph.D., senior research fellow at the School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Newcastle, Australia, has earned Hazelden's Dan Anderson Research Award for his development of a Web-based alcohol screening and brief intervention tool (e-SBI).

Center City, Minn., November 23, 2009  — Hazelden, the internationally renowned nonprofit addiction treatment center, today announced the leadership team for its new recovery center in Naples, Florida. Hazelden's 47-bed facility in Naples is scheduled to open in late March 2010, and will initially provide addiction treatment programs for adults, including a full array of family and outpatient services
